Rooted In Shadeland

As announced in the Spring 2025 Diocesan Assembly Meeting, for the Diocese of Eastern America of the SOC , the current endowment no longer has the funds to maintain ongoing operations of the Most Holy Mother of God Monastery and St. Sava Shadeland Camp property in Springboro, PA, without new investments. ​​

Shadeland Camp holds a special place in many of our hearts, our memories, and has even helped shape our future lives in our home church parishes, our families created, and continues to do so for many folks today! Safeguarding it protects our community's story.

With the support and blessing of His Grace our Father and Bishop Irinej of Washington-New York and Eastern America and collaboration with the Diocesan Board,  Rooted In Shadeland is a newly formed group of Eastern Diocese parishioners, that will operate under the Federation of Circles of Serbian Sisters.

Rooted in Shadeland is dedicated to preserving the Shadeland property through continuous fundraising, responsible stewardship, and strengthening community involvement - ensuring this cherished place endures for future generations.
